Developing strong, aggressive leadership in America's future business men and women is the primary objective of the Future Business Leaders of America. FBLA is the national career technology student organization for students who are interested in becoming the future business leaders in Maryland. Organized on the national level in 1941, FBLA members learn to compete honorably with fellow students who share similar goals in local, state and national competition. Members develop their leadership, communication and business skills by working with the business community.
The official name of the organization is the National FFA Organization. The letters “FFA” stand for Future Farmers of America, but the FFA is not just for students who want to be farmers. FFA welcomes members who want to be teachers, doctors, scientists, or business owners. The FFA remains committed to growing the individual student and providing a path to achievement. The FFA is a source of learned leadership, personal growth and career success through agricultural education.
